We celebrated the last class party at Hunter college today. Every students brought some food and drink, happy to participate have fun with dancing,having lunch,taking pics, talking, watching movie the name is like water for chocolate, , etc…

Fund Raising Concert For Orphans Of Burma

On Saturday the 24th, I went to fund raising concert for orphans of Burma at Forest Hills high school. One ticket for $15.00.
you can eat all (Burmese tradditional foods). Food, Music, and a good deed!!! The Band name is 3hird Medium and all singers are not professional, but they did great job on that night. People donated $21000.00 ( twenty one thousand dollars) for fund raising orphans of Burma.

Block Party

An out door public party organized by the residents of a neighborhood usually limited to a city block, in which the street is closed off and participants eat, socialize, entertain,etc.....The British equivalent is a street party. Block parties gained popularity in the United State during the 1970s.
On Saturday the 30th evening I went to my relative's house and they celebrated a block party at their street. I feel really tired so I just took only video file this day. I have never been to a block party.

Myanmar Thingyan

Happy Thingyan & Myanmar New Year
On Sunday the 23rd we celebrated Thingyan (water festival) at my friend's house. The really festival date is between second and the third week of April every year. We organized 2 days early painting, setting up, and preparing the stage. Almost 40 people came to visit and everybody brought some food, soda, booze, and water. Together we cooked the * Mont- Lone- Yal- Paw. They added spice to some of the * Mont- Lone- Yal- Paw and unlucky person will be eating that spicy. This is just traditional joke. All the people were doing what they choose as singing, playing with water, swimming, talking, dancing (Myanmar), taking pictures, etc. When I came back home a lot of people were still playing with water. I was really tired when I got home. Everyone had a lot of fun and they enjoyed them self including me.

Myanmar concert

Myanmar Concert At Laguardia College
On Saturday the 22nd we went to watch a Myanmar concert at Laguardia college. It was a
really good concert. All the musicians and singers were very famous in Myanmar. Every singer sang a lot of songs and seemed really happy performing. We could complain about Phy Phy Kyaw Thein because she didn't come to sing. Whatever the rest of the singers were doing well. These famous singers were Tu Tu, R-ZarNi, L-Loon wa, Corny, Yuzana.

BBQ Party

I went to the BBQ party on Saturday the 2nd in this month. We were chat with friends, relatives and new friends. We have got a lot of FUN !!!

Fathers Day

On Saturday the 18th my son made me a Fathers day party at my house. We have made one day early because of we couldn't available to do on Sunday. Several family were coming to my home. They bought some foods that fried rice sticks, roast duck, sweet and sour pork, vegetable, and Napoleon cake. The foods was very good and I ate a lot that day, especially I liked Napoleon cake. It was a small party but we had a lot of fun. The dinner was delicious.

Weather ; "Stay Balanced In The Summer Heat".

An early summer heat wave hit the city yesterday, with a high of 94 degree. Today is expected
to be hotter, reaching as hight as 97 degree. New Yorkers beat the heat anyway they knew how. We should always bringing extra clothes all the time when going out and to work. On hot day we have to wear light colored clothing and should be drink vitamin water. If you are a drink alcoholic beverage; avoid Whiskey, Run, Brandy, these are heating. You could be try cool beer during the hot day it will be all right. If you have to work out side wear the sun glass and wide hat. Avoid hard exercise, if you need to do you can do it early in the morning .

I got two weeks vacation and I already went to Canada last week. I will be spending the other week in NY. I haven't been to a lot of place in NY such as statue of Liberty, Empire stage, etc... I would like to go there if I have chance. And I recorded three of Myanmar songs yesterday. You can listen to my songs. Weather is getting too hot in NY. On Mon the 30th, temperature was almost 100F so i went to swim and rest in my friend's private swimming pool. I have got relax at the swimming pool. Take a look!!!
